Medicine Wheel and Sculpture Garden
The death of a beloved furbaby led to the overhaul of this former grass garden. Cassie lays beneath the Medicine Wheel. This Garden holds feverfew, Korean hyssop, sage, spiderwort, yarrow, and everlasting plant. It also has several grandfather stones from a sacred sweatlodge held at a shamanic retreat that I attended in Spring 2017. The energy boost felt when these stones were added to this wheel was phenomenal. I wasn't totally surprised by this since those same stones had affected the drive home by impairing my vehicle. We were unable to go over 50 miles per hour and had to take back roads all the way home from east of Cleveland (a normally 4 hour trip took us over 6). Most of the stones (other than landscape chips) came from the farm of a friend who was quite willing to share her pile.
The sculpture aspect of this Garden is continuing to morph... As of the Fall of 2017, it held a lovely cast-off from a local metalworking company, a piece from my brief stint at the San Francisco Art Institute, and some rebar that has yet to complete itself. I have no doubt that more will join because I've seen bits and pieces wander through my imagination.
