Whether building small or large, ritual can add a tangible grounding to our lives.
I add sacred places to my garden in a ritualistic manner. The photo above shows some of my sweetgrass drying on the altar benches in the current iteration of my Sacred Fire Circle (which you can learn more about here if you wish). After our beagle (Cassie) died this past summer, I built a Medicine Wheel Garden over her grave (see photos below). I added feverfew (gifted by a friend) this fall, I'll add more plants come spring.
I create smaller, more mobile sacred pieces for the services and rituals that I perform and take part in throughout the year. Whether something small that I carry with me privately or a more complex altar that becomes part of the ceremony, I let the item lead me in its creation. I rely heavily on my intuition to lend me a metaphysical hand.

Smaller, more portable and private items can simply be stones or crystals carried in a bag or talismans intentionally created like the healing dolls shown on this page. I've found adding ritual and things or places that feel sacred to me to be very satisfying and something that adds more levels of depth and satisfaction to my lifing. Are there places that you can add even the simplest acts of focused positive intention to your life that will enhance your experience? Even adding a small daily practice can bring joy.
